The Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University anticipates multiple open-rank faculty positions (tenure/tenure-track) to begin September 2016. 

Salary is open depending upon qualifications presented. Completion of all requirements for a PhD/DSc degree in Statistics (or a closely related field) prior to beginning employment is required. The department encourages persons from all areas of research to apply, but is particularly interested in areas at the interface of statistics and computer science (i.e., big data, computational statistics and data mining) and in spatial statistics. 

Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to research and teaching. 

Excellent computing facilities are available and highly competitive startup funding is anticipated.

The department has a tradition of outstanding theoretical and interdisciplinary research.
