En ISGlobal estamos buscando una persona para cubrir el puesto Gestor/a de Datos que este interesada en la gestión de datos de dos proyectos de la Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health Initiative: MULTIPLY and ICARIA.
The Projects
The overall MULTIPLY project (MULTIple doses of IPTi Proposal: a Lifesaving high Yield intervention) goal is to contribute to an increase in survival of young children in three sub-Saharan countries through the implementation of Intermittent Preventive Treatment of malarial in infants (IPTi) alongside routine Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) vaccinations and vitamin A supplementation. MULTIPLY is a multi-country 40 month implementation research project funded by the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) and started in May 2021. MULTIPLY aims to catalyse country uptake of IPTi and inform future policy and guidelines in moderate-to-high malaria transmission settings. The project has been conceived following a before-after evaluation design of the impact of the intervention. The primary outcome measure will be the coverage of three or more doses of IPTi in children under 2 years of age (U2) attending the EPI programme in project areas. IPTi will be delivered at health facilities and mobile-outreach EPI clinics to all children living in project districts. The number of IPTi doses a child will receive will be based on the EPI schedule of the country, with a maximum of 6 doses in the first 2 years of life. The study will be conducted in 3 sub-Saharan African countries: Sierra Leone, Mozambique and Togo. The project intervention will target approximately 45,000 U2 children in total.
The ICARIA project (Azithromycin Research for Infants in Africa), carried out in Sierra Leone, is a large-scale clinical trial which will measure the incremental mortality benefit of administering IPTi plus azithromycin to infants with the goal of contributing to a reduction in child mortality in areas of high malaria and mortality burden in sub-Saharan Africa. ICARIA is a five-year project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and co-funded by La Caixa Foundation is coordinated by ISGlobal. The project will evaluate the impact of azithromycin (AZi) plus IPTi with sulphadoxine-pyrimethamine (IPTi-SP) administered through the EPI in Sierra Leone on childhood mortality.
Formación y Experiencia laboral
Esencial:
- Estar en posesión de un Grado en Ingeniería Informática
- Buen nivel de inglés para mantener una relación fluida con el equipo en terreno y en las reuniones de equipo.
- Conocimientos de gestión/administración de aplicaciones web.
- Conocimientos de gestión/administración de bases de datos.
Deseable:
- Master en gestión de datos o experiencia de dos años en el sector.
- Experiencia en programación con R o Python.
- Experiencia en Amazon Web Services u otro servicio similar de computación en la nube.
- Experiencia en administración Linux.
Responsabilidades
- Diseño del Sistema y procedimientos de captura de datos del proyecto MULTIPLY así como supervisar la posterior recolección de datos en terreno de dicho proyecto.
- Supervisar los procedimientos de captura de datos del proyecto ICARIA y dar soporte a las nuevas necesidades que puedan surgir en el proyecto junto la colaboración del equipo de gestores de datos existente en terreno.
- Estas actividades incluye: 1) la creación y validación de los planes de gestión de datos de los proyectos citados, 2) creación, evaluación y seguimiento de los procedimientos operacionales estándar (SOPs) referentes a la gestión de datos en los proyectos, 3) administración del programa de recogida de datos, 4) implementación, mantenimiento de los instrumentos/procesos de recogida de datos y 5) control de calidad y reportes de progreso de la recogida de datos, almacenamiento y verificación de los procesos.

- Capacidad para trabajar en diferentes contextos y flexibilidad para implementar soluciones complejas en entornos de bajos recursos.
- Capacidad para empatizar en entornos de trabajo con profesionales que engloban diferentes culturas, mentalidades y formas de trabajar.
- Experiencia comprobada en la presentación de asistencia técnica a terceros.
- Habilidad para asesorar y desarrollar capacidades técnicas a personal técnico africano que forma parte de los estudios de investigación.
- Capacidad para trabajar en un entorno complejo con varios proyectos/tareas realizadas en paralelo.
- Habilidad para interactuar en equipos multidisciplinares, multiculturales y diversos entornos internacionales
