Postdoctoral position in Causal Inference, Department of Biostatistics and Informatics, Colorado School of Public Health

A position is available immediately to be a postdoctoral scholar working in the area of causal inference with Professors Fan Yang and Debashis Ghosh. The position is funded for two years. There would be the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, examples of which include the following:

Causal inference problems for genomic studies
Causal inference modelling of genetic and imaging data
Transportability modeling of treatment effects from clinical trials to observational studies
Integrating causal modeling with deep learning
Causal moderation and mediation analyses with noncompliance in single-site and multi-site studies

More broadly, if the applicant has areas of interest in causal inference with high-dimensional data, projects could also be proposed by candidates.

The postdoc would be joining a department (https://coloradosph.cuanschutz.edu/education/departments/biostatistics-informatics) and associated center, CIDA, (https://coloradosph.cuanschutz.edu/research-and-practice/centers-programs/cida) with a combined 35 faculty, 70 students and 5 staff. In addition, there would be the opportunity to interact with other postdocs (between 6-8 at any time). Opportunities for collaborative publications would also be available, depending on the interests of the applicant. The department has a very collegial, inclusive and friendly environment and occupies a vibrant space in a thriving data-intensive academic health center. Previous postdocs have moved onto jobs in academia and industry in biostatistics, statistics, computer science and data science.
