This 3-year Postdoctoral Fellowship is ideal for an early-career statistician seeking to build a career in data science/biostatistics in health and medical research. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a methodological research portfolio in cutting-edge areas of biostatistics, while also engaging collaboratively in the design and analysis of longitudinal cohort studies and randomised trials.

There will be flexibility in the focus of the research within the major areas of our group, according to the interests and strengths of the successful candidate. Methodological areas of interest within our group are missing data methods, causal inference methods, and innovative clinical trial designs, and MCRI is home to over 40 longitudinal cohort studies and 50 randomised trials in child and adolescent health, providing plenty of opportunities for applied collaborations.

The role will be based at the Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics Unit (CEBU), a leading partner of ViCBiostat, within the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute & The University of Melbourne.

Salary Range:  $93,639 – $109,773 (depending on qualifications and experience) per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging

Closing Date: Monday 13 December 2019 (Australian Eastern Standard Time)
