The Department of Clinical Haematology at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia has created a new position for an early-to-mid career biostatistician.

This exciting new position is funded from a mix of government and industry funds for investigator-initiated trials (from early to late phase), principally in acute myeloid leukemia and myeloma, and represents a unique opportunity to work with leading international, clinical research teams in these haematologic malignancies.  The role includes:

Development of protocols and statistical analysis plans (including simulation of novel designs for trials)

Provision of advice on statistical aspects of ongoing clinical trials

Statistical analysis of results from trials, and correlative studies, currently in follow-up

Preparation of proposals to funding bodies for future trials

The position is initially fixed-term for 3 years to work with the Scientific Director of The Alfred/Monash University Biostatistics Consulting Platform on the current portfolio of trials and proposals.  We anticipate that success with new funding proposals will allow the fixed term to be increased.

Salary Range: $84,540 – $110,320 (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Closing Date:  Thursday 2 May 2019.
