Winter School in Statistics
on January 28-29, 2016 in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium)
It consists of 3 lectures (of 4.5 hours each) spread on two days with the 1st day devoted to a presentation of the basics:

Recent developments in P-splines for multi-dimensional smoothing
— Prof. Richard Samworth (Statistical Laboratory, Cambridge) will lecture on
High-dimensional statistical inference
