Statistical Methods for Omics Data Integration and Analysis

Dear colleague,

You might have received announcing mails on the SMODIA15 workshop to be held in Valencia on the 14th-16th September. SMODIA is organized by the FP7 project STATegra. Our goal is to bring together genomics, bioinformatics and biostatisticians interested in the integration of multiple omics data to discuss the challenges and solutions of this amazing field. We already celebrated SMODIA14 in November2014 in Crete with great participation and scientific success. In this edition we count with three prominent keynote speakers: Martin Morgan, Head of Bioconductor, Lennard Martens from University of Gent, and Jason Ernst from the University of California in Los Angeles. At the meeting STATegra Consortium members will be presenting the results of the project in developing new strategies and bioinformatics tools for multi-omics analysis. You can see thepreliminary program.

We are also inviting the scientific community to participate with in this Workshop contributed talks and it will be great if you or someone from your group could present your work at SMODIA15. Submission deadline is 26th June. Selected talks will be invited to submit a full paper for publication in a special BMC Bioinformatics supplement.  Please, visit the conference site for more information http://smodia2015.cipf.es

I look forward to seeing you in Valencia.

Best regards,

Ana Conesa

Scientific coordinator STATegra
